Soto is basically Indonesian version of soup. Soto Kudus originated in Kudus in Central Java consists of the soup,...rice, broth, shredded chicken and bean sprouts. You can have it mixed with the rice already and served in a bowl or separate rice and the soto. Small portion so you may end up finishing two orders. On the table they put out various snacks mostly fried crackers type. They also serve without you ordering two plates of side dishes including corn fritters and fried brain! When the Soto come, i saw already the rice look to soft which is not appropriate eat with Any Kind of Soto. And soon we find out that the rice at the mix soto also to soft.. and you can imagine right if the rice too soft mix with the Soup or broth it will be not nice. After that we starting to eat.. Sedep tenan!Soto merupakan makanan khas Indonesia yang ada banyak ragamnya. Selain dinamakan berdasarkan bahan utamanya seperti soto ayam atau soto babat, soto juga diberi nama sesuai daerah asalnya. Seperti soto Kudus yang berasal dari Kudus, Jawa Kudus memiliki ciri khas disajikan di mangkuk porselen kecil dengan sendok bebek. Biasanya nasi dicampurkan ke dalam kuahnya, namun adapula yang dipisah. Isinya berupa suwiran daging ayam, tauge, seledri, dan bawang putih berwarna kuning keruh. Bisa ditambahkan air jeruk nipis, sambal cabai rawit rebus, atau kecap manis kalau suka. Ciri khas lainnya adalah aneka pelengkap yang disajikan terpisah dengan soto Kudus, seperti perkedel, tempe goreng, serta sate kerang, telur puyuh, jeroan, atau ati ampela. Di Jakarta ada banyak tempat makan yang menjual soto Kudus sebagai menu utama. Ada yang di warung tenda pinggir jalan seperti Soto Kudus Asli, restoran ber-AC seperti Soto Kudus Kencana, adapula restoran dengan banyak cabang seperti Soto Kudus Blok informasi yang diperoleh Detikfood, ketiga tempat ini terkenal menyajikan soto Kudus paling sedap di Jakarta. Karena penasaran ingin membuktikan mana yang paling enak, kamipun mencicipi Kudus Blok M termasuk restoran khusus soto Kudus yang paling lama dan banyak memiliki cabang di Jakarta. Di sini, soto Kudusnya dijual dengan harga Rp per mangkuk, baik yang dicampur dengan nasi maupun berwarna cokelat bening dan terasa manis ketika diseruput. Diperlukan tambahan beberapa condiment seperti jeruk nipis, sambal, atau kecap manis agar rasa kuahnya pas. Suwiran ayamnyapun kalah banyak dibanding taugenya. Soto Kudus ini ditaburi dengan kucai serta bawang putih dan bawang merah Soto Kudus Kencana, soto campur nasi ditawarkan dengan harga Rp sementara kalau dipisah jadi Rp per porsi. Kuahnya berwarna kuning keruh. Bawang putih goreng tampak royal ditaburkan di atasnya. Ternyata, di dalamnya juga ada irisan bawang putih yang tak dapat ditebak bahwa kuahnya beraroma kuat bawang putih. Andapun tak perlu menambahkan garam karena kuahnya sudah cukup asin. Seperti umumnya soto Kudus, di dalamnya juga terdapat suwiran daging ayam, tauge, seledri, dan bawang merah kami mencicipi Soto Kudus Asli. Berbeda dengan kedua tempat lain, soto Kudus ini disajikan di warung kaki lima. Ada dua ukuran, yakni mangkuk kecil Rp dan besar Rp Nasi sudah dicampurkan di kedua mangkuk tampak lebih padat di dalam mangkuknya. Ada suwiran daging ayam, tauge, seledri, dan bawang putih goreng. Kuahnya berwarna kuning, terasa manis berbumbu ketika diseruput. Tanpa tambahan condiment, bagi kami rasanya sudah cukup bahwa sajian di tempat sederhana tak selalu kalah dibanding di restoran nyaman. Kali ini, Detikfood memilih Soto Kudus Asli sebagai juaranya.
